Bone and Cardiometabolic Health and Research Study at CHOP (Philadelphia,PA)

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking participants ages 16-23 years (both with and without Turner syndrome) for a research study on bone and heart health.  Women with Turner syndrome have higher rates of osteoporosis and heart disease compared to women without Turner syndrome.  The main purpose of this pilot study is to better understand these conditions in Turner syndrome.  We will assess this by imaging the bones, measuring blood pressure, looking at cholesterol levels as well as examining other risk factors that are associated with heart disease.
